Allegro Ballet of Oswego
The Allegro Ballet of Oswego is the pre-professional performing company of the Allegro Performing Arts. Allegro Ballet gives young dancers the opportunity to perform year round on local stages & the greater Fox Valley community. Allegro gives young performers the opportunity to educate the public about ballet, a 360 year old art form, as well as the industry of professional dance. Allegro Ballet of Oswego performs an annual Nutcracker in multiple venues with company members as well as non-company Walk On members. Every Spring, Allegro Ballet stages a full length production with narration following stories such as Sleeping Beauty, Beauty & The Beast and many others. The Allegro Ballet is able to bring these stories to life through performances, not only on a stage but also at places in the community such as schools, assited living facilities, libraries and the annual Oswego Christmas Walk.
Allegro Ballet of Oswego has presented original works choreographed by nationally recognized choreographers giving young dancers a real company atmosphere most studios cannot provide. Company members are required to audition for Summer Intensives around the US to give each member experience with auditioning & working with other companies & directors. Selected company members train & attend high level ballet competitions such as YAGP and Universal Ballet Competition. Allegro Ballet of Oswego is a 501(c)3 not for profit educational association.
